Nancy is buying the background material for her quilt. The quilt is a square measuring 9 feet by 9 feet. The material costs $4.75 a square yard. How much will the material cost?

Taking A Break

There will be no problem to solve this week. We are beginning a new chapter and I want to build some fundamental skills before I post a problem involving our new material. Look for a new problem next week!

Puzzle Pieces

This week's problem is a real challenge. You will have to find the area of each piece and put them together to get the total area. This is a hard problem, so I will give a Homework pass to anyone that gets it correct. Remember to tell me how you got your answers.
